White spots on fingernails and teeth

I have a 16 month old son who has white spots/marks on his finger nails and teeth. I suspect it may be a calcium defficiency but can some one plse confirm. He has a very good appetite and weighs roughly 9-10 kgs.

This is not always due to a calcium deficiency and in most cases no cause is found. It is also found in areas where the water has too much natural fluoride, such as in parts of the Northern Cape. He sounds a healthy happy little fellow and his weight is on the average for his age.It will not harm him to give extra calcium but this is probably unnnecssary if he is drinking milk and is on a good mixed diet.
