Dektarin Oral Gel
Hi
Is Nystatin Oral suspension or Dektarin Oral Gel perscription meds, or could one buy them over the counter? Which one works best for oral thrush for babies? Or does Glycerene work just aswell?

Yes, both daktarin oral gel and nystatin are available OTC. In my experience i found that Daktarin works better. Glycerin on its own wont be effective but a older, well known treatment is Glycerin & Boraks in Combinmation - This is still available from some proper pharmacies (not the dinosaur "low price above people" mega-chains - dont even waste your time asking them). I would however still suggest Daktarin as my number one choice.
