Poor weight gain & more pooing
Our baby is 12 weeks old & is exclusively breastfed.
Born 4 days overdue at 2.8 kgs she dropped to 2.6 by the time we left the hospital.
The first 6 weeks she gained 200g/week and was 3.8kgs & 4cm taller at her 6 week checkup. The paed said all was perfect.
In the last 6 weeks however she has only gained 700g.
Up until 6 weeks she pood at every feed then between 6-11 weeks only once a day & now for the past 9 days all of a sudden 4 times a day.
At first i thought it was a side effect of the 6-in-1 or Rotarix vacination as she was very nigly for 4 days & woke every 2 hrs to feed for 3 nights running but the sister said that ths is unlickely. I have given her Probiotics but they do not seem to change anything. Her poos are watery with bits & a mustard colour but not bad smelling.
I am concerned at the change in weight gain - she is 12 weeks old & only weighing 4.5kgs & I am worried that the pooing & poor weightgain could be an indication of something else - could she be ill?
Otherwise she seems to be quite happy & smiley...should I just relax & continue to weigh her regularly or have her checked by the paed - we live far from a major city so I dont want to waste our or his time & money.
Please help!!
