Dear Maya
Does your child also drink milk? At this age she still needs at least 2 full cups of milk a day. Water requirements for young children are usually calculated as 50 ml per kg of body weight, thus if she weighs 10 kg then she requires about 50 x 10 = 500 ml of water a day. Because she is drinking about 500 ml of rooibos tea and milk, plus 100 ml of fruit juice (?) this should be sufficient, but always offer young children clean boiled and cooled water as an alternative to other beverages during the course of the day in case they are thirsty. Hot weather and physical activity could increase thirst so get her used to having a bit of water when she is thirsty.
