Belly button pain
Hi Doctor. What could cause a pain in the right side of the belly button, and abit of indigestion? A very intermittent pokey sort of pain, what is on the right of the belly button?

Hi there
It could be infection in the belly button, or it could be caused by the colon, or even the appendix that is inflamed. If the pain is more superficial, it could be caused by the stomach muscles. The fact that you experience indigestion as well could indicate that the problem is in the bowels, either the colon or the appendix. If the pain becomes more severe within the next few days, rather go to the doctor. Good luck.
