Breast Feeding
To whom it may concern:
I'm looking for some advice regarding giving up breast feeding.
My girlfriends mother wants my girlfriend to stop breast feeding her 9 month old daughter and has gone and gotten some medication to help her stop. The pharmacist advised her to take 1/2 tablet immediately and the other 1/2 the following morning.
The problem is that her breasts are really, really full and extremely painful. Her mom's advice is to just strap them to stop them from moving, but the problem is even things like her tops or bras are hurting her and same when she holds the baby.
Surely a better way would be for my girlfriend to have weaned the baby off breast milk until her body stopped making so much and them possibly taken the medication?
I know I’m a guy and understand very little of a woman's anatomy when it comes to things like this.
I hate seeing her in so much pain and for reasons I cannot understand or gather her mother is adamant this is the right way to do it.
I'd greatly appreciate some feedback on this please.
Regards,
