Two-week notice period
If you give your employer your resignation and the resignation period is only 2 weeks and the last working day will be end of February, can the employer refuse to let you go at the end of the month even though you as employee have an excellent job offer that won't come around anytime and the new employer wants you to start beginning of March. What will happen if you just leave at the end of the month your current employment and starting the new employment at the new company at the beginning of March.

re: Two week notice period

No employer can refuse to let you go.  You are entitled to leave if the contract says two weeks.
