Am i obese
i am 195 cm and 115 kg.i am reasonably fit eg run 30min cycle 20min swim 30 lenthes according to your chart i am obese i dont think so.how do i get a more accurate idea of my ideal weight.

Richard, as a rule of thumb you shouldn’t weigh more than your height above 1 meter in kilograms or 25 x height x height – 25x1.95x1.95=95kg. As you can see they both add up to 95kg. Now comes the good news: there is a grey area up to 30x1.95x1.95, ie up to 114.1kg in your case, where we’re not sure whether you’re obese or of ideal weight. This is because some people just have heavier bones and because all these formulas work for the average person – something you definitely are not at 1.95m. The best would be to have your fat percentage calculated/measured and find out that way. Good luck.
