Not sure I follow the argument. Yes, without a brain you don't exist --- but you don't exist, either, without a heart, or liver, or kidneys. So are you also a kidney ? A Liver ? As Buzz says.
But it may be why, though we have made enormous progress in recent years in understandigng the workings of the brain, there might be a limit on what we can ultimately discover, when we are using the human brain to understand the human brain --- it's a bit like using a magnifying glass to look at a magnifying glass.
And what would happen if there were to be a brain transplant --- who would the resultant person be ? The guy who had the body, or they guy who had the brain, or some odd composite ? Answers of Frankensein's monster are not helpful.
