Dear Johno
Apples contain approx. 6 mg of vit C per 100g, so compared to oranges which contain 53 mg of vit C per 100g, apples are not really regarded as 'rich in vit C'. They are excellent fruits and if you use them together with those fruits and vegetables that are rich in vit C, such as all the citrus fruits, guavas, pawpaw, spanspek, broccoli, cabbage, green peppers, etc, you will obtain plenty of protective nutrients.
