bleeding in children
Hi
A few days a ago my daughter had some secretion from her vagina and it looked like vaginal discharge. She also had red spots of blood on her panty. She did not complain of pain or itching or any other irritation. What could this be ? Could she have a vaginal infection ? She's only 2yrs old.
Please advise.

Small babies sometimes have a bit of bleeding from withdrawal of their mothers' hormones. This should stop by six months though.
At the age of 2 years, children often stick beads, peanuts, etc into one or other of their orifices. This would be one thing to consider. Infections are uncommon at this age unless there is a background of sexual abuse. I would suggest that you take her to see a doctor.

Best wishes
