breach of contract
I have been employed permanently since July last year. In terms of my contract I am required to stay at the company for a minimum of 5 years. The contract promises incentives based on sales targets reached - to date I have met all targets, but no incentives. I also have not yet received a performance contract, nor any talk of an increase (after being at the company for more than a year). I want to look for something else - would I be liable to pay the company any penalty for not staying the 5 years or would there be a way to get out without paying, in light of the company not keeping their side of the contract?
