What is a good replacement for bread ?

Dear Martie
Are you trying to replace bread because you have a wheat allergy? if so, you would need to use 100% rye bread or rice cakes. If you just want variety in the diet then you can substitute other starches for bread like brown rice, pasta, maize meal, porridges (oats, Maltabella, maize meal), crushed wheat, crushed maize grits, sorghum and potatoes and sweet potatoes. All the crackers breads like rye crackers and ProVita are also good substitutes for bread if you are not allergic to wheat.
