CLA vs Flax Seed Oil
Is it safe to consume both CLA and Flax Seed Oil for weight loss? Or do the 2 react against each other and ultimately cause weight GAIN?

Dear Mamta
There is some scientific evidence that CLA does assist with weightloss. Flax seed oil is usually taken to obtain ALA (one of the so-called omega-3 fatty acids, which must first be converted to EPA or DHA) by individuals who do not want to take omega-3 in the form of salmon oil capsules (which contain the omega-3 fatty acids called DHA and EPA, which are more easily used by the body). Omega-3 fatty acids (ALA, EPA and DHA) all help to protect our bodies against heart disease, arthritis, etc., but I have not actually read that they are linked to weightloss. If you are not a vegetarian then it may be more efficient to substitute salmon oil capsules for the flax seed oil.
