collagen
can collagen be fully replaced by taking it orally? i know that it can't be replaced by creams.
Hi Orpa, thank you for the question.
No one really knew the answer to that question until recently, when a study was performed at the University of Pretoria, near the end of last year. This particular study “indicated an increase in skin fullness, reduction of wrinkles and improved skin health with 6 weeks of use of collagen supplements” using Purelogical’s Collagen Supplement. According to their website a quantitative measurement was used (VISIA analysis) with no mention to skin biopsies pre and post or the exact improvement in percentage terms.
Following from this, my advice is if one can afford it, then give it a try and let us know, as there seems to be a benefit directly to ones skin.
