Contraceptive after birth
Hi there. I am only giving birth in 14 weeks but starting to look at different methods of contraceptives after birth. As most of you know I am expecting twins and DO NOT want to fall pregnant in the first 5 years. I am also not sure that I ever want to be pregnant again, but do not want to go to any drastic measures as I do not know what the future holds. I've heart about the Merina. Can anybody give me advice or maybe suggest some kind of contraceptive.

Immediately after birth, your options would be the Mini-pill or the injectable. The Mirena can only be inserted at 6 weeks after the uterus has returned to normal size. This is a good reliable contraceptive and would be a good option. The Pill and injectable are also very safe and reliable.
