Diet and warfrin
What food can i eat or not eat while on warfrin tablets
Dear Deon
Basically warfarin tablets are prescribed to thin the blood. Foods that are rich in vitamin K will counteract the effect of the warfarin. These foods include all dark green leafy vegetables, esp broccoli, cabbage, dark green lettuce, spinach, and turnip greens. Also make sure that you are not taking a vitamin or mineral supplement that contains vitamin K.
Best regards
