difference between surgical and medical
Have decided on having an abortion and understand that when you do the medical procedure a pill is used according to the marie stopes website, another option is the surgical procedure, how is this done? I understand that remains of the foetus have to be sucked or scraped out when the pill is used, what is the difference in procedure from the surgical and medical? Is there one that is less painfull than the other? 5weeks pregnant.

At 5 weeks pregnant, a D&C would be the method of choice, unless you have access to RU486. This is more effective at this gestation than Cytotec pills on their own.
