Doc please clarify
I was diagnose with PCOS and was told to go to a dietican and change my life style. The Gynae prescribed glucophage 500MG x 3. My questions are as follows.

1) does this mean I am diabetic type 2 taking the glucophage
or insulin resistant?
2) Will the condition get worse if I dont take the prescription?
3) What is the difference between insulin resistant and type 2?

You might be only insulin resistant - he would have told you if you were diabetic.
Yes the condition will get worse if you don't take your medication

You can be insulin resistant ( have higher than normal insulin levels,)without having abnormal high blood sugar. But all diabetics are insulin resistant.
