Eating after a training session
How long do I have to wait after training (1 hr long) before I can have supper? Can I have something soon thereafter or is there a certain time period that should pass?
Dear Newby
How soon you eat after strenuous exercise is generally a personal decision. Some people feel no hunger (others are ravenous) and some feel slightly nauseous. If you are not hungry then wait a while until you start feeling hungry to have your supper. If you feel nauseous then don't eat until you have recovered. Have a light meal which contains plenty of carbs (pasta, brown rice, vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, lean meat, etc) to replenish the glycogen you have used up during exercise.
Best regards
