Epilepsy and children
hi there
my boyfriend has epilepsy, but he did not have this from birth. they are not quite sure of what caused it. i want to know if this can be transferred to our children one day. if so, when will they start showing signs of this and can this cause any other birth defects? please advise me on this, i need to know before i commit.

Dear mm
I is highly unlikely that your children will be affected if there are no other members of your boyfriend's family that also suffer from the same condition.
