Fatal blood vomit and urine
Dear Dr, i was so shocked this mornig to hear my brother in law has died of vomiting blood and urinating blood, whilst he was suffering from cronic diabetes. Is it possible that diabetes can cause one have fatal blood vomits and blood urine.
As confirmed with his wife he did have a bloody vomits 3 weeks ago but it stopped after consulting with a GP.
Then yesterday it started again, non stop until fatal this morning.

Surely this is a question you should be asking our H24 GP, cyberdoc, rather than a psychiatrist ? This is indeed a shocking event, and this type of sudden death doesn't sound typical of diabetes, but chronic diabetes, especially if not expertly managed, can cause damage to various organs and body systems.
But except as only a first step in an emergency, bloody vomiting is NEVER EVER a situation that should be dealt with solely by a GP rather than a surgical specialist at a proper hospital
