Dear Nollie
Soup in general does not have a high energy content and can be used when trying to lose weight to prevent hunger pangs. I don't have the exact energy value for Royco cup-a-soup, but according to the SA Food Tables, an average value for soup powders reconstituted with water is 28 cal or 116 kJ per 100 ml, which is very low. A 300 ml cup will therefore contain 84 cal or 348 kJ, which represents 5,6% of your daily energy intake if you are on a 1500 cal or 6300 kJ diet.
