Feedback on liquid diet
Thank you for responding to my query 17/1/03. The doctor's receptionist said that I will be on what they call a "pap & sap" diet. Anything that is not solid. I would appreciate your suggestions as per your email.

Dear Shan
The following foods would probably be acceptable: clear fruit juices (apple, grape, berry, grapefruit), stock cubes and/or Marmite/Bovril dissolved in hot water, iced teas, runny jelly (use more liquid), custard, yoghurts, liquidised soups made with fresh vegetables like potato and carrots plus stock cubes or milk (dilute slightly), liquidised boiled or canned fruit such as pear, apple, peach (avoid all pips, e.g. guava, berry fruits), and cooked liqudised minced meat (dilute with stock or gravy), cooked breakfast cereals like Creamy Meal (dilute with milk). As you recover you will be able to eat more solid foods such as soft, mashed potatoes, and finely minced meat in addition to the above, BUT check with your dr before you make any changes.
Good luck with the op.
Best regards
