Female dog incontinence
My female dog (8 years &  spayed) has incontinence. She has been to the Vet twice and they have given tablets (Incurin) which she needs to be on for the rest of her life. But our problem is that the tablets have not helped and we are still battling to clear the incontinence. Is there any other remedies we can try? Thank you.

Hi Shelldine,

Speak to your vet about a combination of medication such as Incurin and a second medication called phenylpropanolamine.

The combination of medication works much better than either product alone. It is also extremely important to ensure that there is no infection (very common in incontinent dogs) as infection will certainly worsen bladder control. This comination of medication will be effective in the majority of dogs.

If it is still not effective, further detailed examination and possible surgery may help control the condition.
