Dear Aiysha
My apologies once again. If you start coughing when you sieve wheat flour then you may have a sensitivity to wheat flour or dust. You also mention that you start coughing when you fry foods, which would indicate that you are also sensitive to some other air-borne component. Do you develop symptoms when you eat wheat or foods that contain wheat? If so, then you may well have an allergy or an intolerance to wheat. It is always a good idea to have such reactions tested by your medical doctor because you need confirmation before you start eliminating whole food groups because of a suspected allergy/sensitivity. It is particularly tricky to cut out all foods that contain some form of wheat, so rather make sure before you start avoiding wheat in foods. You could buy some of those paper masks to cover your mouth and nose when you work with wheat flour or fry foods to see if this prevents your coughing.
