Fluid
My son had grommets inserted at 12 months, he is now fifteen months old and he never experienced any problems after the op.
Now there is yellowish fluid coming out from his ears and it doesn''t look like he is in pain, is it normal or should i take him back to the ENT for examination?
Thanks!

Dear Milly

This is not to problematic, but he will need treatment in the form of topical drops suitable for the ear. He does have an infection, but he does not have pain because the fluid can drain, so there is no build up of pressure.
Please contact your ENT for advice. He does not need oral antibiotics for the runny ear.
