Foster parenting
Hi there
I''m married to a loving man who has custody of a 3 year old son. we are currently staying with him and I am strugglin gto connect to the kid. I was raised by strict and fair parents. As an only child everything I got was earned through hard work and commitment. The parenting style of my husband is different. The child can throw all kinds of temptrumps and he gives in.
Since I do not want to offend anyone i do not participate in their fights but just become an observer. Now the trend is that when the guy reprimand the kid he says " i''m going to spank the kid" . That has created a wedge between me and the kid as he percives me as the bad one in the relationship. How can I tell my spouse that he is offending me without sounding harsh
