what is gardnerella vaginalis, symptoms, cause?

This is a bug which infects the vagina when the normal protective bacteria are depleted. It can be asymptomatic, otherwise presents with a discharge. The cause is not certain. There may be an element which is related to sex and it may be partly related to your immune system.
