hands dead on waking up
Every morning both my hands are completely numb with a dull ache.
This is the whole hand including the wrist.

I might also mention that for years now it has become increasingly difficult to write. After a line or two it becomes extremely painful in the fingers.

I am 54 years old.

Please tell me what it wrong with me and whether i need to worry.

Otherwise i am very healthy.
