Dear Pat
It is very important for anyone who has heart or circulatory problems, which include high blood pressure, to be examined by the doctor who is treating their condition Before taking any medication that contains sibutramine. The dr will have to decide if you can take Ciplatrim based on your bp and heart health. Last year, research results were published that indicated an increased risk of heart problems and stroke, in patients taking sibutramine. This led to the recall of Reductil, which contains sibutramine. So rather be safe, than sorry, and have that examination and discuss the use of sibutramine-containing medications with your dr.
