how long?
how long does it take for food to be converted into fat and stored? Like if i eat a packet of chips, do i have to exercise immediately to burn it off or will the next day do the same? and reading previous posts about laxatives, i've heard some people binge eat and then instead of throwing up like bulimia they take lots of laxatives. Surely this doesn't work? Do the laxatives actually prevent you from absorbing the food you ate? And it cant be good for you!

Thanks in advance...

Dear Reader
I can't say for sure how long it would take a specific person to convert a given food to fat and store it, as these metabolic processes are influenced by many different factors (exercise, age, gender, present weight, etc, etc). What people need to do is to eat a balanced diet every day and do their exercise, so if they succumb to those chips on one day, their otherwise healthy lifestyle balances out their little binge. Yes, laxatives are abused regularly by people with eating disorders and they are really harmful to one's health.
Best regards
