Iron
Will ostrich meat give me more iron then say pink salmon or chicken breasts? Are there foods I must avoid if Im battling to get my iron levels up?

Venison and all red meat contains much more iron than chicken breasts, e.g. 4.5mg vs 1.5mg per 100g. Liver contains even more iron: sheep liver 10mg per 100g and chicken liver 6.4mg/100g. Salmon only contains 0,8mg iron per 100g. Foods with a high phytate content such as wholegrains and spinach could interfere with iron uptake, as well as black tea. I do hope that you are also taking an iron-folic acid supplement such as FeroFolic? If not, then discuss this with your dr.
