Thank you for your important question. Calsuba is a calcium supplement and will not help your baby to gain weight. His formula is the most important food that he takes every day. At 7 months your baby must be on a No. 2 formula. For example, if he is on Lactogen formula he must be on Lactogen No. 2. Your baby should be eating solids at least twice a day now. He should be on a cereal as well as be eating vegetables such as pumpkin and sweet potato and fruit such as apple and pear which will help him to gain weight. At 7 months he can also start on chicken or lamb. If you are worried that he is not gaining weight even though he is eating well and taking the correct formula every day, it would be best to take your baby to your nearest baby clinic so that the nurse can examine him and advise you what you can do to help him to gain weight. Sometimes there is a medical reason for a baby not to gain weight such as having a problem with reflux or some other medical cause.
