kilojoules intake
hi, how many kilojoules should a woman take in daily.e.g. i jog every morning 8km and then sometimes in the evening i do spinning or any other cardio, how many kilojoules should i take in to lose weight
Dear Mandi
In general it is recommended that adult women who want to lose weight should reduce their energy intake to 6300 kJ (1500 kcal) per day. If you find that this energy intake is not enough to allow you to do your strenuous exercise programme, then I would recommend that you add about 500 kJ/day to your intake. But first try the 6300 kJ/day and see how you do. An energy reduced diet which contains sufficient carbohydrate for muscle fuel will still allow you to exercise properly.
Best regards
