Late Talker
My grandson has just turned 3 years old and seems to be taking for ever to speak properly. All he manages are the odd word here and there, at the most two together. Other than this he seems healty enough. His pre-school end of year report says that they find him premature and that he doesn't interact on the same level as the other kids. Should we have him evaluated ... and by whom?
Granny, not talking more than two words at 3 is a bit late. At 3 years of age most children can speak in a way that even strangers will be able to understands what they say. You can have him evaluated by a child psychologist or occupational therapist. Good luck.
