lung and liver cancer
Hi Doc,
i am currently looking after a 84 yr old man. The doctor has taken xtrays and he was informed that he has lung and liver cancer, is there any cure for this at his age. Also he needs to go on monday so that they can check the inside with a camera. is this al wouth it to put him through all this or should he just continue to live day for a day. Please answer as it puts me in a difficult position. Many Thanks Doc

Unfortunately, there is no cure for lung or liver cancer, although the cancer can be treated with chemo and radiation therapy. This is usually done to reduce the cancer or to even to put the patient in remission. It is worth while to have the test done, as it will assist with making a diagnosis of the spesific type of cancer.
