MILD STROKE
MY BOYFRIEND HAD A MINI STROKE THAT LASTED ABOUT 10 MINUTES WHERE HE COULD NOT FEEL THE WHOLE OF HIS LEFT SIDE. WHEN THIS HAPPENED HE TOOK 3 DISPRINS UNDER THE TONGUE AND HAD A COLD SHOWER AND WENT TO REST FOR ABOUT 24HRS. HE WORKS IN MOZAMBIQUE AND THE WEATHER IS EXTREMELY HOT AND WORKS UNDER A LOT OF STRESS. HE HAS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, DIABETES,AND SINCE THIS MILD STROKE HE SUFFER FROM HEADACHES AND ITS ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD IN THE MIDDLE. PLEASE COULD YOU LET ME KNOW IF THERE COULD BE ANY BLOOD CLOT ON THE BRAIN AND WHAT SHOULD WE DO. THANK YOU

He should please see a neurologist - these "mini strokes" or TIA's ( transient ischemic attacks) are sometimes a warning that a major stroke is on its way and if you start treating preventatively, you can avoid this. This is often caused not by a bleed but by a piece of cholesterol that came loose in one of the arteries. They need to have sonar of the carotid arteries and a brainscan to determine which preventative medication would work best.
