I' ve had one succesful pregnancy 3 yrs ago. Sept2008 lost preg at 8 weeks (missed miscarriage), had D& C. Unexplained complications after D& C caused for blood transfusion. Got 1st period after 6 weeks and on time every month thereafter. Suspected pregnancy again in Jan due to preg symptoms, but started bleeding (initially like implantation, but then heavy with big clots) - not like normal period. GP suspects very early preg (3weeks) miscarriage. Got pills to stop bleeding. Bleeding stopped for 4 days, and now started again, but this time feels more like a normal period. Ultrasound showed ovarian cyst, GP says its normal. Is all of this normal and is it possible to have a period so soon. Was this a miscarriage or something else? How soon can I try getting pregnant again?

It isn't really possible to tell if this was an early miscarriage or a period unless a pregnancy test was done at the time. It does seem more like a period though. You can start trying again as soon as your cycle has stabilised.

Best wishes
