Morton's neuroma
My physio suspects I may have a Morton's neuroma. What are the best scans/ tests available to verify this?
I am afraid of getting an unnessessary op.

Often just clinically. By squeezing the toes together one can provoke the pain. Tests aren't really useful except Xrays to exclude arthritis. Even ultrasound is not ususally necessary.

Try conservative treatments; wider shoes, flatter shoes, orthotics and even steroid injections intot he area BEFORE surgery.
