numb hands
i am having a problem with continious pins and needles in my hands especially in the thumbs

You could be experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel disease. It especially worsens at night. The symptoms can be elicted by flexing the wrists to the extreme and keeping the position for a minute or two. We usually treat this with pain killers and if not pregnant, a light diuretic.
Unfortunately, surgery is a more permanent solution. It is not a big operation and you should not worry about having it done.
