Dear Crow
If you cook the oats the fat content will drop to 1.6g/100g. The fat in dry, rolled oats is rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids which protect against heart disease. Combined with the high content of soluble dietary fibre, oats are thus one of our best cereals to promote health.
