Painful coccyx
Hi Doc
Why is it that when I sit my coccyx becomes very sore?
Especially after I have sat for long periods of time.
What advice do you have for me?

Ann, the best would probably be to have x-rays taken to see if there is any abnormality of the coccyx. It may also be due to a problem in or around the anus, but I won’t be able to say without examining you first. The best would be to see your doctor and have him sort it out. Good luck.
