PROM
Dear Dr
My twins were born premature at 34 weeks, due to PROM. I had a relatively uneventful pregnancy and no signs of premature labour. I worked up to about 4 days before the PROM. Do you think that if I stopped work sooner, I could have avoided the PROM? I also had no clinical signs of infection. What would be the reason for the PROM?
Thanks!

Most of the reasons for PROM are not known and I do not thing that stopping work earlier would have prevented it.
Best wishes
