Hey Doc, is it advisable for someone trying to lose weight to eat lots of the proteins? Then what groups of foods exactly are good?

Dear Reader
There is no need for you to increase your protein intake if you are trying to lose weight. The most sensible way of losing weight is to reduce your fat intake and to eat a balanced diet that contains plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, wholegrains and cereals, fat-free milk and dairy products like yoghurt and cottage cheese and lean meat, fish and eggs. Don't overload on protein as this can damage the kidneys.
