Re-occurence of tick fever symptoms
Good day, a friend of mine had tick fever a few years ago - the past six weeks he is experiencing tiredness, sometimes pain in the right arm, terrible headaches and his muscles become very stiff and painful - can it be a re-occurrence of the tick fever virus - he also suffers from high blood pressure - sometimes he would sleep for 12 hours and others times, an hour during a 24 hours period. Please assist me with advice as what to do? Thank you Gerda Botha

Your friend will have to consult his doctor as soon as possible, as there are a multitude of possible causes for his symptoms that have to be excluded. Severe high blood pressure can be a cause for his symptoms and it is therefore, important that his doctor establish if his blood pressure is controlled effectively.
