Sleeping on back when pregnant?
Hi doctor

I have heard that you should avoid sleeping on your back from 4 months of pregnancy, because it can cause decrease in bloodflow to the baby. I am currently 18 weeks, and would like to know if it is true, or just a myth? I sleep best on my back, and have managed to sleep only on my sides these past few weeks. Will your body tell you if you are sleeping on your back and you shouldn't, or not?

Thanks

Tania

It is true. Try propping a pillow under your side so that you are not flat on your back.
