squamous cell carcinoma
on 16/11/02 my mother was sent to king edward for a problem with her mouth on 16/01/03 she was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma now she will go back on 30th to albert luthuli hospital to start treatment what treatment will they used and is this curable she is 60yrs
Macy, it all depends on how far the cancer has spread. If it hasn’t spread too far they will surgically remove the lesion and if necessary, the lymph nodes that the lesion might have spread to. If the lesion has infiltrated too far, they will use a combination of surgery and radiotherapy. Good luck.
