Hi Doc

Could someone get pregnant with the presence of STI? and the other question, i was diagnosed with STI recently and i know that my partner has to be treated as well, but he does not have any sings for STI, what could be going on, he only complains about headache. Could this be a good sign? is there anything going on that we are not aware of? please advice.

Yes it is possible but it depends on what type of STD you had. Chlamydia that has been left untreated for a while can permanently scar the fallopian tubes, making it next to impossible to get pregnant. If you are pregnant and have a STD you should consult with you doctor to take the necessary precautions to protect the baby. Some of the Std’s can be dormant for some time, not showing signs. The fact that you have been diagnosed with a STD should make both of you be more careful to protect both of you. Best advice is to go back to the doctor that tested you and seek professional advice in this regard – for you and your partner.
