Stop Fur Loss without Medication?

A friend of mine has a stranded one month old kitten…no mother cat. So far he’s been looking after it ever since it was a day old, taking it to the vet, giving it milk, vitamins etc. However, recently the kitten seems to be losing patches of fur. The vet says that it’s too small for medication just yet. It hasn’t received a mother cat’s milk/affection at all. Is there anything else (other than direct medication) that can be done to stop the fur loss?

Please ask your vet to examine the kitten and find the cause of the fur loss. Treatment needs to be based on the cause being found.
